Regina Connell ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Jacksonville Memory Gardens Funeral Home & Cemetery on Mar. 9, 2026.Regina (Gina) Lee Connell, age 63 of Jacksonville, Florida went home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 6th, 2026, at Orange Park Hospital with family by her side.Regina was born on October 25, 1962, on Fort Bragg located near Fayetteville, North Carolina, a daughter of the late Herschell Edwin Connell and Nancy Ann Connell.Except for the first 4 months of her life, Regina lived and was raised in Jacksonville, Florida. She graduated from Forrest High School in 1980.Regina was known as a true friend to animals and found her greatest joy in the companionship of her pets. She rescued numerous cats and dogs who, in essence, became her children.Regina will be lovingly remembered by her mother Nancy Connell, sister Lisa (Mike Duckworth), Nephew Justice Janson, Niece Danielle Janson, Great nephew Leonardo Massey as well as many relatives, extended family/friends and neighbors.A viewing will be held on Thursday, March 12th, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Jacksonville Memory Gardens, 111 Blanding Blvd., Orange Park Florida immediately followed by the funeral at 11:00 AM at the same location.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
