Regina E. “Jerrie” Horst, 92, of Manheim passed away Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Ephrata Manor. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Ida (Sullivan) Robbins. She was the loving wife of the late Donald P. Horst who passed away in December of 2025.
She worked as a bus driver for Brightbill Transportation for over 43 years before retiring in 2016, a job she thoroughly enjoyed throughout the years.
Jerrie was a part of a camping club called Fiddlers Green and enjoyed spending holidays and time with her family. She also enjoyed cooking, decorating cakes and cooking for the holidays.
She is survived by four children: Douglas Horst, Robyn Black, wife of Thomas, Keith Horst, and Geralynne. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Denise Horst, sister and also the late wife, Kim Horst wife of Douglas Horst.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10AM on Monday, March 23, 2026, at St. Richard’s Catholic Church, 201 Adele Ave, Manheim, PA 17545. Interment will follow in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. Family and friends will be received from 7-9PM on Sunday, March 22, 2026, at Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA and again from 9-10AM at the church on Monday. In honor of Jerrie’s wishes the family ask that casual clothing be worn and no black clothing. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Jerrie’s memory may be made to the church at the above address and Hospice & Community Care, PO Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604-4125.
