He was born on Sunday, January 24, 1954 in Denison, Texas to Opal Irene (Dilbeck) and Clyde Cecil Barron.Reggie worked at Sundowner Trailers for many years where he was a Welder. He particularly enjoyed playing pranks on his fellow workers & friends. Reggie enjoyed baseball and played in different local leagues in his younger years. He was a huge Texas Rangers fan and would listen to them play on the WBAP radio broadcast. He also enjoyed playing poker and bingo.He was preceded in death by his parents Opal Irene (Dilbeck) and Clyde Cecil Barron; sister Helen Shores, brothers Wendell Barron, Neil Barron and wife Goldie, sister Mildred Erickson and husband Glen, niece Vickie Manning, nephews Jerry Shores, Jimmy Shores; brother-in-law Clyde Garner and sister-in-law Linda Barron.Survivors include his step daughter Niki Willis, son Matt Barron, sisters Hazel Garner of Bells, Texas, Betty Jo Snow and husband Sonny of Pilot Point, Texas; brother Rex Barron of Durant,Oklahoma; numerous nieces, nephews, as well as other extended family and friends.Family visitation will be held from 6:00 - 8:00 pm on Wednesday, March 18, 2026 at Gordon Funeral Home, 221 N 3rd Ave, Durant, Oklahoma.A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, March 19, 2026 at Midway Family Worship Center, 1198 W Voca Rd, Coleman, Oklahoma with Pastor Sammy Vaughn and Darrell Horath officiating. A graveside service will follow at Center Hill Cemetery in Kenefic, Oklahoma.Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Gordon Funeral Home, 221 N. 3rd, Durant, 580-916-9090To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
