She was predeceased by: her mother Betty Thomas; and her son Justin Michael Lawson. She is survived by: her children, Jeffery Lawson, Andrew Birckhead and Haley Powell; her grandchildren, Christian Lawson, Abigail Lawson and Colton Lawson; her siblings, Ronnie Riner, Jean Harlow (Gary), Joyce Eppard, Sandy Riner (Al), Teresa Shifflett (Junior) and Angel Velasquez (Jose); and her stepfather James Thomas. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Batten Funeral Home (12819 Spotswood Trail, Ruckersville, VA 22968). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
