Rebecca Morrison ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by House-Rawlings Funeral Home - London on Mar. 10, 2026.Rebecca Gill Morrison, age 66, of London, Kentucky passed away on Friday, March 6, 2026.She leaves behind her loving husband, Robert Weldon Morrison; her mother, Beverly Williams Gill; her son, Adam Webb (Kyleigh) of Cynthiana, KY; three stepchildren, Alexandra Morrison (Jon) of LaFollette, TN, Tyler Morrison (Len) of Bolivar, MO, Eric Morrison of Erwin, TN; her sister, Paula Kaye Gill of London, KY; five grandchildren, Taryn, Elijah, Cameron, Nicholas, Lyric; her nephews, William Temple of Chattanooga, TN, Winston Benge (Kate) of Roanoke, VA; plus a host of other family and friends to cherish her memory.She was preceded in death by her father, Earl Craft Gill.Beckie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, and friend who meant the world to her family and to so many others. She graduated from Middlesboro High School in 1977 before continuing her education at Eastern Kentucky University, where she graduated in 1981. Music was always a huge part of her life, and she served as a field commander for the band in both high school and college, something she was incredibly proud of. She later went on to earn her master's degree in counseling.For more than 40 years, Beckie shared her love of music with students across Kentucky and Tennessee as a band and music teacher. She truly loved what she did and poured her heart into it every single day. Through music she impacted countless students and helped shape lives far beyond the classroom.Beckie had a personality that could light up any room. She loved to laugh, loved to tell stories, and always had a way of making people feel welcome. More than anything, she loved her family dearly and cherished every moment she got to spend with them.In retirement, Beckie enjoyed traveling and seeing as much of the world as she could. She loved exploring new places and meeting new people, and she shared many of those adventures with her husband, Bob. Together they visited many places and truly lived life to the fullest.Beckie was a faithful member of First Christian Church in London, Kentucky, where she served as a deacon and sang in the choir. Her faith was an important part of her life. She believed in God's salvation and now rests with our Lord and Savior in Heaven.She will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved her. While our hearts are broken, we take comfort in knowing the love she gave, the music she shared, and the countless lives she touched will continue to live on. The laughter, the stories, and the memories she leaves behind will stay with us forever. Though she is no longer with us here, we know she is now at peace and singing with the angels in Heaven.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Christian Church in London, Kentucky.
