Rebecca A. "Becky" Klostermann (née Priestley), age 77, of Breese, passed away on March 5, 2026, at her home in Highland. Born on October 28, 1948, in Red Bud, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Elizabeth (née Sieberg) Priestley. Becky married Joseph "Joe" Klostermann on February 2, 1973, at St. Teresa Catholic Church in Belleville. He preceded her in death on July 8, 2025.
A dedicated reading teacher, Becky retired from Hinchcliffe Elementary School in O'Fallon after many years in education. She earned her master's degree from Southern Illinois University Carbondale and was a talented painter and baker. Above all, she cherished her family, taking great joy in supporting her sons in all their endeavors and faithfully standing by Joe's coaching career. She warmly welcomed her sons' friends into her home, treating them with the same unconditional love and kindness she showed her own children.
Becky is survived by her loving sons, Joseph "JD" (Stephanie Sparks) Klostermann of St. Charles, Missouri; Dr. Brian (Ann) Klostermann of Breese; and Andrew (Joe Moore) Klostermann of Highland. She was a proud grandmother to Joseph Klostermann; James, Stella, and Rose Klostermann; and Couren and Amouryne McDonald-Smirl. She is also survived by her sister, Linda (Dave) Miller of St. Louis, Missouri; sisters-in-law, Edith (Karl) Gerhard of Little Rock, Arkansas, Helen Klostermann of Breese, and Leann Klostermann of Breese; as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Joe, her father-in-law and mother-in-law Joseph and Frances (née Heimann) Klostermann, and her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Vincent Klostermann, Catherine (Cletus) Koerkenmeier, Dolores "Tudy" (Burnell) Weinheimer, Robert Klostermann, Marge (Tom) Richter, and Thomas Burke.
