REBA HORTENSE MILLIRON

Reba Hortense Ledden Milliron, 86, of Shellman, Georgia, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, March 12, 2026. Born on March 4, 1940, in Cuthbert, Georgia, to Dennis H. Ledden and Alice Hortense Price Ledden, she graduated from Cuthbert High School. In June 1959 she married the love of her life, Lee Sheridan Milliron, and together they raised two children, Paula Sue Milliron and Dennis Lee Milliron.

Reba and Lee made their home in Arlington, Georgia, in the late 1980s, where they formed lifelong friendships and became active members of Arlington Methodist Church. She retired as personnel director from Kellwood Company in Cuthbert. In retirement she lovingly cared for children she considered her own. The family moved to Shellman in 2003, where she and Lee enjoyed quiet country life until his passing in December 2004. Reba devoted herself to the care of her daughter Paula, and the two were inseparable. She found joy in canning and making jelly, baking pecan pies to share with family and friends, reading, dancing and clogging in her younger years, tending her flower beds, and hosting gatherings for those she loved.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Lee, her daughter Paula, her sister Ruby Ledden Lassiter, and her brothers Rufus, Robert, and Ralph Ledden.

Reba is survived by her son, Dennis L. Milliron of Shellman; her granddaughter, Courtney Milliron Heath (Collin), and great-grandson, Miles Heath, all of Dawson; her sister, Rebecca Ledden Steadman of Shellman; her brothers, Royce (Elaine) Ledden of Leesburg and Ronald Ledden of Cumming; and many nieces and nephews. The family is deeply grateful for the compassionate care provided by Shirley Jones and Stormy Weathersby in Reba’s final days.
