He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacintha "Centy" Lovell Romero and Raoul "Shu-Shu" Romero; and his grandparents, Vincent, Nora Lovell and Leonie Broussard Vicknair.

He is survived by: his wife Vickie Romero; his daughters, Kelli Berthelot (Raymond "Rebel" Jr.) of Youngsville and Tonya Comeaux (Johnathon "Bubba") of Milton; his grandchildren, Kaylee, Jancie and Riley; his siblings, Miguel Romero (Esther) of Houma and Rene Romero of Houma; his pet Miya; and his caregivers, Cindy Hancock and Marie Menard. He is also survived by his numerous nieces, nephews, friends.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 14th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Cypress Funeral Home & Crematory (206 W Lafayette St, Maurice, LA 70555). A rosary will be held on Saturday, March 14th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
