Raynel ShipleyCHARLESTON – Raynel Seaneen Shipley, 45, of Charleston, passed away Monday, March 16, 2026 at SBLHC.The funeral service honoring her life will be held at 12:00 p.m. (NOON) Friday, March 20, 2026 at the Harper-Swickard Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Roselawn Cemetery. Charleston. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. MEMORIALS IN HER HONOR MAY BE DIRECTED TO THE FAMILY TO HELP WITH HER CHILDREN'S EDUCATION.Raynel was born September 20, 1980 at Mattoon, daughter of Butch and Dianne (Moreton) Ellington. She married Kent Shipley, February 21, 2006 at the Northside Baptist Church; he survives. Also surviving are her children, Lydia-Mary (Anthony) Livingston, Salena Diane Hernandez Raymer, Bruno David Rivera-Raymer, and Roman Lewis Morales-Raymer; parents Dianne and Butch Ellington; grandchildren, Anthony Livingston, Elizabeth Livingston, and baby girl Livingston due soon; sister, Samantha Moreton; nephew and niece, Jonah Cook and Addyson Cook; cousin, Dylan Moreton and his children, whom she lovingly referred to as her "silly little monkeys", Kinzley Moreton and Paizley Moreton; and her God Mother, Catherine Veach.Her father-in-law, Kevin Shipley; her mother-in-law, Brenda (Russel) Krause; In-laws, Wayne and Amanda, Kelly and Curt, Kim and Jase, Brandy and Johan, Bryan, and Jim.She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Marion and Vera Moreton and Wayne and Patricia Ellington; special uncle-in-law, Dave Baird; and mother-in-law, Karen Shipley; and aunt, Alice AndersonRaynel formerly attended Northside Baptist Church. She was a devoted wife and mother, and she enjoyed doing things with and for her children. Raynel was never able to have children of her own, which led her to fostering children, working towards adoption. Even as a young person, children were drawn to Raynel's loving and nurturing disposition, and they would climb all over her, leading her to call some of children special to her "Silly Little Monkeys."
