The family later moved to Midland, Texas, where Raymond lived and worked for Lemco Oil Company for more than 30 years. He eventually returned to La Grange, where he met and married Barbara Flowers.Throughout his life, Raymond enjoyed raising pigeons, a pastime he loved since childhood.He is preceded in death by his mother, Bertha Wilkerson, stepfather, James Johnson, two brothers, Fritz Ford and Rufus Johnson, one sister, Lizzie Mitchell, and his niece Cynthia Kay Wilkerson.He is survived by his wife, Barbara Flowers Wilkerson, three sisters, Wilma Shelton, Ollestean Daniel, and Joanna Lawrence, three brothers, Eddie Buffin, Charles Johnson, and Hebert Johnson, He also leaves behind extended family members, Patty Burns, Arthur Johnson, Fletcher Johnson, and a host of relatives and friends who loved him deeply.To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Raymond Wilkerson, please visit our floral store.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
