Raymond Nannenga ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Jackson Funeral Service of DeMotte on Mar. 9, 2026.Raymond Nannenga, age 87, a lifelong resident of DeMotte, Indiana, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, March 8, 2026.Raymond was born on March 27, 1938, in DeMotte, Indiana, to Robert and Nell (Abbring) Nannenga. He graduated from DeMotte High School with the Class of 1956. On March 23, 1956, he married the love of his life, Marguerite "Marge" Tomczak. They shared many devoted years together before her passing in 2020.Raymond worked as a union plumber throughout his career. He was a faithful member of Hebron Christian Church. In his younger years, he enjoyed playing high school baseball and football and later took pleasure in golfing. One of Raymond's greatest passions was maintaining his yard and keeping it beautiful.He is lovingly remembered by his daughters, Terry Lynn Nannenga, Kathy (Richard) Kaiser, and Beth (Keith) Allen; three grandchildren, Dacia Truty, Chad Hopkins, and Jason Hopkins; and six great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Esther Murray.Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Nell Nannenga; his beloved wife, Marge Nannenga; and his sister, Rita Passmore.A private graveside service will be held at Holland Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hebron Christian Church.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
