Raymond M. Morrisroe

Raymond M. Morrisroe, age 85, of Orland Park, Illinois, passed away on March 9, 2026. A longtime parishioner of St. Mary Church in Mokena, he earned his bachelor’s degree from Loyola University Chicago and carried a lifelong love of learning. Raymond was known for his inquisitive mind and spent many contented hours researching subjects that captured his interest, particularly trains and automobiles. A dedicated hobbyist, he enjoyed building and collecting model trains and studying railroad history.

He cherished the time spent with his grandchildren and took great delight in their shared moments. An avid Chicago sports fan, he followed the Bears, White Sox, and Cubs with enthusiasm. Raymond valued friendship and companionship, often gathering with longtime friends for meals and conversation. He will be remembered for his curious spirit, his many passions, and the deep love he held for his family.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 38 years, Marilynn K. Morrisroe (née Sullivan); cherished stepchildren Kathy McKinzie, Karen (Steve) May, Patti (Rich) Stevens, Jim Aldworth, and Bob (Sara) Aldworth; loving grandchildren Jeff (Kina), Katie, Melanie, Sonya, Nora, Megan, Greta, Kevin, and Liam; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sisters Maureen (Frank) Johnson and Patsy (Jim) Mauloff.
