Raymond Lee Lane

Raymond Lee “Sonny” Lane, 56, of Smithfield, Ohio, passed away on March 11, 2026, at Trinity West Medical Center. Born on September 27, 1969, to the late Harold Lane and his surviving mother, Judith (Wilson) Brodzinski, Sonny was a devoted son, brother, uncle, father, and cat parent. A graduate of Buckeye North, he was also a proud member of the American Legion Post #396.

Sonny is survived by his mother, Judith; his son, Jessie Lee Lane, and Jessie’s fiancée, Abigail McClure; four brothers, Rian (Crystal) Lane of Wintersville, Clifford (Liz) Warrick of Brilliant, Frank (Pamela) Elliott of Chillicothe, and Ron (Lisa) Brodzinski of Bergholz; one sister, Rhonda (Erik) Rouse of Mingo Junction, Ohio; nephew Jacob (Gabrielle) Lane of Wintersville; niece Taylor Lane of Wintersville; and cousin Lonna Casto of Smithfield.

His family will remember him for the warmth and kindness he brought into their lives.
