Raymond Lee Bartlett, 80, of Oak Grove, Missouri, passed away on March 7, 2026, at his home. Born on November 30, 1945, in Richmond, Missouri, to Kenneth and Mamie Bartlett, Ray grew up attending school first in Richmond and later in Independence, where he graduated from Van Horn High School in 1964. That same year, on December 5, he married his wife, Debbie Cordill, beginning a lifelong partnership that spanned more than six decades.
Ray worked at the GM Leeds Plant from 1965 until his retirement in 1994. In his later years, he continued working in sheet metal fabrication at Hoy Supply and Jakes Industrial. He found great joy in sports, faithfully attending Little League games, Oak Grove school events, and college athletics. He also took pleasure in restoring cars and raising cattle. A longtime member of First Baptist Church, Ray was active in its Sunday School.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Debbie; his four children, Jenni Baxter, Pamela S. Copeland, Timothy R. Bartlett, and James M. “Pee Wee” Bartlett; 13 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother.
