Raymond L. Preston

Raymond L. Preston, age 90, of Midlothian, passed away peacefully. He was the devoted father of the late Paula Dean, cherished grandfather of Miranda Allison, VanDarren Williams, and Marcus Williams, loving great-grandfather of eight, and great-great-grandfather of one. Raymond was the beloved brother of Sharon Finnerty and the late Elaine, Daniel, June, James, William, Richard, and Joan. He was the son of the late Velma and Daniel Preston and a dear uncle to many nieces and nephews.

A U.S. Army veteran, Raymond proudly served his country and remained an active member of the Midlothian VFW Post 2580. He found great joy in playing bingo and was a lifelong fan of the Chicago White Sox and the Chicago Bears. Those who knew him will remember his steady presence, quiet humor, and deep devotion to family.

He is survived by his sister Sharon, his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchild, and many loving nieces and nephews who will carry his memory forward with affection and gratitude.
