March 4, 1996— February 20, 2026
Bayville, NJ
Raymond James Boertmann, 29, of Bayville, passed away on February 20, 2026. Born on March 4, 1996, he grew up and lived most of his life in Bayville.
From a very young age, Raymond displayed remarkable mechanical talent and entrepreneurial spirit. He ran three businesses before the age of 12, beginning with a motorized bicycle and trailer that allowed him to mow lawns. He later invested in traps to catch and sell bait fish to local shops, and found his true passion in repairing and flipping dirt bikes, quads, and go-karts, always turning a profit. By age 16, he served as head mechanic and manager of a jet ski rental business. His rare patience and natural gift for fixing things were matched by his willingness to help anyone in need.
Above all, Raymond possessed a heart of gold and a memorable soul. He expressed love through his actions rather than words, consistently lifting the spirits of those around him. His unique confidence and genuine consideration for others left a lasting impression on everyone he met.
He is survived by his parents, Dawn Boertmann and Ned Larrabee; his sister, Allie Marinnie; his grandmother, Pat Brennan; his partner, Jack Tillet; his aunt and uncles, Scott and Wendy Jensen, Lane Boertmann, and Michael and Nicole Breidenbach; and his cousins, Becky Webster, Scott Jensen Jr., and Madison Breidenbach, along with many dear friends who were family to him. He was predeceased by his mother, Lisa Ball; his grandfather, Wally Boertmann; and his great-aunt, Alice Glenn.
Those who knew him feel deeply fortunate to have shared in his life and to have been loved by him. Raymond will live on in the hearts of all who loved him through the memories they will continue to cherish.
