Raymond H. LaSalle

Raymond H. LaSalle, 74, of Plattsburgh, passed away in the early morning hours on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at the Clinton County Nursing Home. Born on October 24, 1951, he was the son of Arthur LaSalle and Florence (Parrott) LaSalle.

Ray embraced many hobbies throughout his life, including fishing, painting-by-number, crocheting, and collecting albums. His eclectic taste in music ranged from Hank Snow, Waylon Jennings, Patsy Cline, and Roy Clark to The Beatles and Creedence Clearwater Revival. Before his health declined, he enjoyed attending downtown community events to listen to live music, watch fireworks, and share in the simple pleasures of the day. He found joy in watching westerns with his dog, Rose, savoring Milky Ways and Peppermint Patties, and sharing meals at Jade Buffet, where the staff always knew his favorite order. Beneath his rough exterior lay a big heart, and his family will always remember his quick wit, his stories, and his generosity.

He is survived by his daughter Tammy Miller and son-in-law Craig Miller; his son Charles LaSalle and daughter-in-law Christine LaSalle; and his daughter Pamela McCarthy. He also leaves behind his grandchildren Corey Brown and wife Kristy Curry-Brown, Brandi Brown-Doner and husband Travis Doner, John Peryea, Jr., Sabrena Cifaratta, and Brittany Crowningshield; his great-grandchildren Margo Brown, Winston Brown, Theodore Doner, Lucas Doner, Stella Cifaratta, Aubrey Crowningshield, and Jasmine Crowningshield; his brother Fred LaSalle; his niece Nicole Baker; and many other nieces and nephews.

Ray was predeceased by his wife, Colleen LaSalle; his parents; his sister, Ann Mitchell; and his brothers, Robert LaSalle, Thomas LaSalle, and Arthur LaSalle.
