Raymond Garcia Jr., age 86, of Moscow, Tennessee, passed away on March 11, 2026. Born on April 12, 1939, in Key West, Florida, to Raymond Garcia Sr. and Lily Santana Garcia, he lived a life defined by service to his country, his community, and his family.
Raymond proudly served in the United States Army before devoting many years to law enforcement as a police officer. After a long and honorable career protecting and serving others, he retired from the force. On May 8, 1977, he married his beloved wife, Linda Simmons Garcia. They shared a wonderful life together until her passing on December 6, 2018.
He is survived by his children, Richard Garcia, Raelynn Garcia Houston and her husband Ken, Raymond Garcia III, and Debra Hurst. He leaves behind a loving legacy through his grandchildren, Jordan Harper, Madison Coombs, Gabriella Coombs, Ryan Garcia, Rachel Brake, Derrick Rose, Cori Henley, and Glenn Henley, and his great-grandchildren, Chandler Ihrie, Avery Garcia, Mason Garcia, Wyatt Brake, Savannah Brake, Theodore Rose, Eleanor Rose, Skylar Henley, Kylan Lytle, and Jayden Lytle. He is also survived by his sister, Lena Smallbone, and his nieces, Gina Tompkins and Carla Southcott. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
Raymond will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his years of service to both his country and his community, and the many lives he touched. His presence, wisdom, and quiet strength will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
