Oregon, OH
Raymond C. Cousino Sr., 86, passed away on March 14, 2026 at St. Charles Hospital in Oregon. Born on February 21, 1940 in Toledo, Ohio, to Robert L. and Dorothy (Kahl) Cousino, he married Carol Parker on December 3, 1960. Together they raised a daughter and a son and shared 54 years of marriage until Carol’s passing on June 16, 2015.
Raymond worked as a residential painter and was a longtime member of the Local 7 painters union and First St. John Lutheran Church. He found simple pleasures in playing board games and cards, tending to his yard, square dancing, golfing, and traveling. A devoted fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes, he was known for his quick wit and great sense of humor, even joking with his nurses during his final hospital stay. Above all, he cherished time spent with friends, family, his grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, taking great pride in his role as a grandfather.
He is survived by his children, Raymond (Lisa) Cousino Jr. and Sheryl (David) Pitsenbarger; grandchildren, Raymond III (Christina), Jonathon (Tara) Kochensparger, Jennifer (Dean) Luginbuhl, Robert (Ginger) Cousino, Lucas (Becca) Pitsenbarger, and Tyler (Taylor) Pitsenbarger; great-grandchildren, Tucker, Trace, Addysin, Hunter, RJ, Jon Jr., Tiara, Jaden, Greyson, and Persephonie; great-great-grandchild, Elizabeth; and sisters, Nancy (Ed) Moates and Judy (Donald) Jones. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Carol, his twin brother Robert M. Cousino, and his step-sister Vicky Shatto.
