Ray “Spanky” Ostrolecki, of Eastpointe, passed away on March 14, 2026, at the age of 52. Born in Detroit, Michigan, on August 4, 1973, he was the beloved husband of Megan for 25 years, cherished son of Raymond and Connie Ostrolecki, and dearest brother of Katherine (Keith Altman) Ostrolecki. He was a loving nephew of Corrine (Ken) Ong, Arthur (Cherille) Paruch, and John Paruch, and a dear cousin of Ken, Kevin, Jeffrey, Randall, Jack, and Henry. He was also the devoted son-in-law of Dennis (the late Linda) Domurat.
Ray’s life was shaped by his deep passion for anything with wheels and a motor. A true car guy, he found his sanctuary in the garage, where he restored rusted frames into works of art and coaxed powerful roars from well-tuned engines. Gifted with an extraordinary eye for customization and an uncanny ability to determine a wheel’s exact specifications at a glance, he earned a reputation as one of the finest wheel men in the industry. His expertise was sought by local enthusiasts and high-profile celebrities alike, all of whom trusted him to transform their vehicles into something special.
Beyond his craft, Ray and his wife Megan traveled the country together with car and truck clubs, attending shows and building a warm community around their shared love of the automotive world. When he wasn’t on four wheels, he could often be found on Lake St. Clair, fishing and enjoying the sunshine, fresh air, and natural beauty of the water. At home, his gentle side shone through in the quiet moments he spent with his beloved dogs, napping on the couch beside his faithful companions.
He leaves behind his wife Megan, his loving family, and a garage filled with memories of a life well-lived by a man who was deeply loved.
