He was born on January 24, 1929 in New Orleans, Louisiana to the late Ulysses Bernard Boudreau Sr. and Mildred Talbot Boudreau. Ray was preceded in death by his devoted wife of 70 years, Jacqueline "Jackie" Bayhi Boudreau; his parents, and siblings: Ulysses Bernard Boudreau Jr., Katherine Benezech, Mary Alice Hotard, Stephen Boudreau, Barbara Burke, Talbot Boudreau, Herman Boudreau, and Warren Boudreau.Ray proudly served as a Sergeant in the Louisiana National Guard. He was a member of St. Mary Magdalen parish since 1955 and worked with CYO, Boy Scouts and sports in the parish for many years. He was president of the New Orleans Golf Association and St. John Golf Club and a member of Green Acres Country Club.Ray is survived by his 4 children: Ray Joseph "RJ" Boudreau (Rose), Pamela Jean Shows (Neil), Ralph James Boudreau (Joanie), Kim Mary Boudreau (Mitch); 6 grandchildren: Ray Boudreau III (Sarah), Amy Boudreau Dubuc (Michael), Kati Boudreau Kelley (Ryan), Megan Boudreau Caire (Matthew), Ryan James Boudreau (Caroline), and Hunter Joseph Shows (Catherine); and 20 great-grandchildren: Isabelle, Blake and Bryce Boudreau; Audrey, Camile, Josie and Drew Dubuc; Antionette and Ava Kelley; Hattie, Walter and Louise Shows, Zoe, Gemma, Blaise, Philomena and Agnes Caire; Simon, Ramsey and Saylor Boudreau; and grand-dog, Ratso. Ray also leaves behind a step sister, Patricia Magee, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, and other relatives.Ray will be dearly missed by all. The family would like to thank his caregivers (Myra, Keisha and Kristy) for their dedication and compassion as well as the staff of Williamsburg Senior Living Center.Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Services at Garden of Memories Funeral Home & Cemetery, 4900 Airline Drive, Metairie, LA 70001 on Friday, March 20, 2026. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM with a Mass at 11:00 AM followed by interment.
