Raul Macias

Raul Macias of Pharr, Texas, passed away on March 7, 2026, at the age of 71. A proud lifelong resident of the Rio Grande Valley, he served as Assistant Director of the Hidalgo County Adult Probation Center before continuing his career with McAllen ISD.

An outstanding athlete in his youth, Raul excelled as a football player at PSJA Bears High School and Monterrey Tech. His accomplishments on the field were recognized in 2016 when he was inducted into Mexico’s National American Football Hall of Fame.

Above all, Raul was a devoted father and a loving “Papa” to his grandsons, who brought him great joy. He leaves behind a family who will cherish the memories of his strength, dedication, and quiet pride in those he loved.
