Randy Lee Thomas, born on September 18, 1957, in Toledo, Ohio, passed away peacefully on March 4, 2026, in Oregon, Ohio. He was a beloved figure whose presence will be greatly missed by all who knew him.A dedicated career as a local and over-the-road truck driver defined much of Randy's life. He traversed nearly every state in the nation, with the exception of Hawaii and Alaska, forming a notable bond with his truck which he loved dearly. His journeys not only showcased his driving expertise but also reflected his adventurous spirit and passion for the open road.Randy was a man of deep faith and spirituality, known for his enthusiasm in sharing the teachings of the Lord with anyone willing to listen. His giving nature and remarkable intelligence shone brightly through his interactions, where he was often recognized for his talkative demeanor and infectious sense of humor. Randy's ability to connect with people was one of his most cherished traits, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of friends and family alike.In addition to his truck-driving pursuits, Randy had a profound love for sports, particularly football. He fervently supported the Kansas City Chiefs long before their popularity surged, showcasing his loyalty and passion as a true fan. His vibrant personality brought joy to countless gatherings, making sports events all the more enjoyable.Randy is survived by his beloved sister, Janice Huguley; fiancé, Kimberly Armstrong; step-children, April (Kenneth) Washington, Luther Bryant, and Leon Hills Jr.; his nephew, Christopher Smith; niece, Candice (Paul) Frigon; and a host of cousins and friends who will treasure his memory.He was preceded in death by his parents, Rita A. Thomas Huguley and Walter Williams, who will forever hold a special place in his heart.Randy Lee Thomas will be remembered for his passion, humor, and unwavering compassion for others. His legacy will live on in the stories shared by those who had the privilege of knowing him.Friends and family are invited to gather on Saturday, March 21, 2026 at Newcomer Funeral Home - Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd, Toledo from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm. A Memorial Service will immediately follow at the funeral home. Randy will be buried at a later date at Historic Woodlawn Cemetery.
