Randy J. Mullenberg
Mauston, WI
Randy J. Mullenberg, born November 5, 1965, in Sparta, Wisconsin, to Marvin and Janette Mullenberg, passed away on February 26, 2026, after facing cancer with courage, faith, and grace. He spent most of his life in Mauston, where he built a legacy of strength, service, and deep devotion to family and friends.
A proud veteran, Randy honorably served his country for 27 years in the United States Army and the Wisconsin Army National Guard, including two overseas wartime deployments. His military experience shaped him into a disciplined, dependable man who carried that same sense of duty into every aspect of his life. He was a devoted father and grandfather who found his greatest joy in his children and grandson. He taught by example, emphasizing hard work, standing firm, protecting family, and always being there for others. Randy had a quiet passion for leaving the world better than he found it.
He felt most at peace outdoors. In winter, he could often be found ice fishing in his “Packer Shack” or riding his snowmobile. During warmer months, he enjoyed boating on Castle Rock Lake, riding trails in his side-by-side, pursuing deer, or simply taking in God’s creation. These moments connected him deeply with his faith, family, and sense of freedom. He was also a lifelong and devoted NASCAR fan.
Randy is survived by his mother, Janette Mullenberg; his children, Justin (Jenn) Mullenberg, Micaela (Matthew) Keating, and Grace Mullenberg (Reid Clark); his grandson, Kayden Keating; his siblings, Kim (Jim) Reynebeau, Suzie (Kevin) Hoag, and Mike (Sarah) Mullenberg; and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Marvin Mullenberg, and his childhood friend, John Hayden.
