Randy H. Kirk

Randy H. Kirk, age 70, of Vernon, Alabama, formerly of Talking Rock, Georgia, passed away on March 11, 2026, at NMHS-South Marion in Winfield, Alabama.

Born on July 22, 1955, in Jasper, Georgia, to the late Bennie Kirk and the late Shirley Mullinax Kirk, Randy graduated from Pickens High School in 1973. He worked as a salesman at Shaw Supply Company in Jasper and later as a heavy equipment operator for Pickens County. He found great joy in the outdoors, particularly hunting and fishing, and took special pride in his years as a musician with the Southern Style Band in Talking Rock. Above all, Randy cherished his family and the memories created with them. His gentle and humble spirit touched everyone who knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Rena Kirk of Sulligent, Alabama; daughters Erika Jones (Tommy) of Caledonia, Mississippi, and Jodi Thomas (Zach) of Vernon, Alabama; grandchildren Emily and Blake Byrd of Jasper, Georgia, Ashtyn Jones of Jasper, Georgia, and Levi and Mac Thomas of Vernon, Alabama; great-grandchild Colton Byrd of Jasper, Georgia; brothers Ricky (Shelia) Kirk of Jasper, Georgia, and Scott (Cindy) Kirk of Talking Rock, Georgia; sisters-in-law Dianne (Terry) Thomason and Margaret Fleming Buchanan of Jasper, Georgia; brother-in-law Joey Fleming of Jasper, Georgia; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at a later date in Jasper, Georgia.
