East Bernard, TX
Randy Allan Ognoskie, 70, passed away on the morning of March 14, 2026, at his family home in East Bernard, Texas. Born on September 15, 1955, in Wharton, Texas, he was the youngest of two siblings and grew up in Needville, where he met his future wife, Patrice. After graduating from Needville High School, Randy began a long and distinguished career at Houston Lighting & Power, devoting more than 40 years to the energy and utilities industry. His dedication, professionalism, and steady presence earned him the deep respect of colleagues and friends alike.
Above all, Randy was a devoted family man who cherished time with his loved ones. He coached his son’s Little League baseball teams with passion and patience, mentoring young players while sharing his love of the game. He remained a constant, supportive presence at every sporting event, dance recital, and important milestone in his children’s lives.
He was preceded in death by his father Larry, mother Norma Lee, brother Jimmy, and nephew Kyle. Randy is survived by his wife of nearly 45 years, Patrice; his three children, Torrey (and wife Haley), Hillary, and Cody (and wife Madeline); and his two grandchildren, Wyatt and Boone.
The family is grateful for the compassionate care provided by Windsor Hospice, especially Elizabeth and Candace Williams, whose kindness brought comfort to Randy and strength to those who loved him.
