Randall “Randy” Roll, age 64 a resident of Portland, Indiana, passed away on Friday, March 13, 2026.

Randy was born November 29, 1961 in New Port Richey, Florida the son of Jesse W. Roll. Randy graduated from Jay County High School in 1981; he served as head of maintenance for FCC in Portland, where he led and managed many important projects at the Portland plant. Randy cared deeply about Portland and the people who call it home. Many of his contributions happened quietly behind the scenes, as he was never one to seek attention – only to serve and make a meaningful difference. Randy was a member of the TriStae Gas Engine Tractor Association, the Randolph County Antique Club, and the John Jay Learning Center’s industrial program.

Survivors Include:

Son: Bradley Roll (wife Katie) – Yorktown, Indiana

Daughter: Brittani Owen (husband Jared) – Yorktown, Indiana

Brother: Todd Roll – Bloomington, Indiana

Companion of over 20 years: Ramona Chapman who has two daughters: Miriah (husband Jason) and Austin (husband Toby) Retherford

Grandchildren: Luke Owen, Rowen and Asher Retherford, Norah and Owen Denbo

Randy was preceded in death by his father Jesse W. Roll and a brother Scott Roll

Visitation will be held Thursday from 4-7 p.m. at Williamson-Spencer and Penrod Funeral Home in Portland. A memorial service to celebrate Randy’s life will follow the visitation at 7 p.m.

Memorials may be directed to Randy Roll Memorial Scholarship Fund through The Portland Foundation.
