(Mona Vargas) Ruiz.On March 2, 2026, at the age of 78, she went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Ramona passed peacefully at home, surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and relatives.Ramona was born on October 15, 1947, in Commerce City, Colorado.She was preceded in death by her husband, Nickolas Ruiz; her mother, Mary (Daniel) Cortez; and her father, Daniel Lomeli. She was the beloved "daughter" of Ramon and Narcissa Vargas.Her siblings include George Vargas, Leslie, and Eleanor (Jane) Masdin.Ramona's children include Louis, Phillip, Yvette Archuleta, and Paul Ruiz.She survived by her children: Michelle (Joe) Pineda, Paul E. Archuleta III, Raymond Sr (Sheila) Archuleta, Angela (Salvador) Chavez, Nick Jr. (Roberta) Ruiz, Ashley (Joseph) Montoya, Eugene, Josiah Archuleta, Stephanie, Andrew Ruiz, Nicky Rae Ruiz, and Nadine (Alex) Montoya.She is also survived by her big brother, Lupe Vargas; her sisters Arlene (George) Vargas, Josie and Rosie, Cortez, Francis Suazo, and Cindy (Dwight) Barela; and her brothers Danny Ray and Joey, Cortez.Ramona was blessed with a large and loving family. She had sixteen children, forty-four grandchildren, one hundred nine great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren.Ramona was a strong woman whose loving, generous, and warm nature touched the lives of many. She dedicated her life as a homemaker, investing her time, strength, and heart into caring for and raising her family and grandchildren. She lived with an open-door spirit, always welcoming family and friends into her home at any time.To Ramona, family was everything. Every child, grandchild, and great-grandchild was a blessing and a reason to give her love freely. Her home was a place of comfort, her heart a refuge, and her presence a gift that will be deeply missed.Her memory will live on through the countless lives she touched and the generations of family she helped build.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
