Ramon Mercado Jr.
January 21, 1981— March 9, 2026
Schaumburg, IL
Ramon Mercado Jr., 45, of Schaumburg, Illinois, passed away on March 9, 2026, surrounded by his loving wife and children. Born in Manila, Philippines on January 21, 1981, he was a devoted family man who lived with humor, warmth, and a deep appreciation for life’s preciousness.
Ramon’s loud laugh and quick wit were among his greatest gifts. He used them to lighten long car rides, ease tension during hospital stays, and bring joy even in difficult moments. A firm believer in putting family first, he worked hard to provide a good life for his wife and children. He cherished family movie nights, cooking together in the kitchen, memorable car rides, and even getting matching tattoos with his kids. His home was always open to those in need, and his loyalty made him a steadfast friend who took others’ troubles to heart. Ramon proudly supported his Chicago sports teams, often seen in a jersey and hat, and was known for his excellent cooking, frequently asked to bring his signature dishes to gatherings. His children served as eager taste testers and helpers, now carrying forward both his recipes and his spirit.
Above all, Ramon was a fighter. He faced cancer with courage, supported unwaveringly by his wife, Faith, who remained a steady source of strength, hope, and love for their entire family. Their deep bond held the family together through every challenge.
He is survived by his loving wife, Faith; their children, Nicholas (26), Jocelyn (23), Tessarose (15), and Madison (11); his brother CJ, sister Michelle, youngest brother Daryl; his grandmother Julita R. Acosta; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins with whom he shared special relationships.
