He was born on December 5, 1953 in Del Rio.Preceding him in death were his parents, Petra and Jesus Salazar; sibling: Johnny Tellez, Jesus Salazar Jr., Hervenia "Benny" Esparza, Hector Salazar, Mario Salazar, and LCPL Rene Salazar (USMC); Ramiro is also preceded in death by other close relatives.Surviving family members include his daughter, Renea Culver and husband Jacque Culver of Seattle, WA, and Randi Salazar of Del Rio; siblings: Bertha Berton and husband Eduardo "Eddie" Berton of D'Hannis, TX, Robert M.
