Ramie Pagan Jr.

October 28, 1996 March 6, 2026

Frankfort, IN

Ramie Pagan Jr., 29, of Frankfort, Indiana, passed away unexpectedly on March 6, 2026, at his home. His sudden departure left his family and friends stunned, yet they remember him as someone who loved deeply, freely, and with ease.

Born on October 28, 1996, in Chicago to Ramie Pagan Sr. and Naomi (Lehman) Czyscon, Ramie grew up in Chicago as a uniquely emotionally intelligent child. He faced educational challenges and learning differences that helped shape his character. He flourished after transferring to Cove High School in Northbrook, where he graduated in 2015 and formed lifelong connections.

Ramie was generous in spirit and a man of conviction who devoted his time, labor, and gentle heart to his community and family. He cared for loved ones through the end of life, taught his children to celebrate love by attending pride events together, and stood in solidarity at protests against police brutality. He had a creative mind and found joy in traveling, antiquing, home improvement, and design. His whimsical sense of humor and occasional sarcastic wit always came from a place of good intention. Above all, he cherished being a father to his children, capturing their everyday adventures in weekly photo dumps that reflected the profound love he poured into them.

Ramie is survived by his mother and stepfather, Naomi (Michael) Czyscon of Johnsburg, Illinois; his father, Ramie Pagan Sr. of Long Grove, Illinois; his daughter, Lillian Mae Anthrop; his son, Milo Lance Anthrop, both of Lafayette, Indiana; the mother of his children, Maria Anthrop of Lafayette; his fiancée, Gracie Mae Price of Frankfort, Indiana; and his siblings, Emily (Christopher) Harms of Antioch, Illinois, Jocelyn Walker of Chicago, Illinois, Jared (Sue Ellen) Walker of Chicago, Illinois, Jonathan (Marissa) Czyscon of Chicago, Illinois, and Beth (Matthew) Seiler of Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. He had lived in Frankfort for the past seven years, the last two spent with Gracie, who brought him a happiness and acceptance he had never known before.
