He is survived by: his wife Debra Sheats; his sons, Doyle Sheats (Brooklynn) and Derek Sheats; his grandchildren, Ansley, Camden and Briggston; and his siblings, Larry Sheats and Sonia Terry.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 10th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Roselawn Funeral Home and Cemetery (741 Danville Rd SW, Decatur, AL 35601). A committal service will be held on Tuesday, March 10th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Burningtree Memorial Gardens (4919 Marsha Ave, Decatur, AL 35603).
