Ralph M. Dews

Ralph M. Dews, 91, of Muncie, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, March 5, 2026. Born on December 13, 1934, in Muncie, he was the son of David and Maggie (Hosenfelt) Dews. Ralph graduated from Muncie Central High School before serving two years in the United States Army in Germany, where he earned the Good Conduct Medal. He worked for Delco Remy in Anderson for more than 30 years, retiring in 1993.

Ralph found quiet joy in watching NASCAR races, tackling small projects around the house, and spending time with his neighbors. He remained curious about new technology throughout his life, always eager to learn how things worked.

He is survived by his longtime family friend, whom he considered his daughter, Leellen (John) Dishroon, her children Autumn Dishroon and Luke (Elexus) Dishroon, and granddaughter Indie Dishroon. Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, David and Maggie Dews, and his wife Joyce Dews.
