Burial will follow at Tatum Cemetery. Rafael was born on June 22, 1954 in Zapote de Fernandez, Michoacan, Mexico to Rafael Jimenez Sr. and Maria Fausta Ruiz and passed away on February 24, 2026. Rafael liked working, cooking out with family. He loved hearing music and enjoyed going out to eat at the restaurants.He was preceded in death by his parents: Rafael Jimenez Sr. and Fausta Ruiz Jimenez; and one brother: Nicolas Jimenez.He is survived by two sons: Ralphy Alex Dorado-Jimenez of Lubbock, TX, and Jose Jimenez of Carlsbad, NM, and one daughter: Sylvia Driskell and husband Zac of Medford Oregon; Three brothers: Pablo Jimenez of Lovington, NM, Javier Jimenez of Tatum, NM, and Juan Jimenez of Mexico; four sisters: Rosa Campos, Mercedez Rosalez, Fausta Jimenez all of Lovington, NM, and Mary Canaday of Oklahoma; and two grandchildren: Trey Driskell and Isabella Driskell.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
