Rafael is survived by his children: Brenda Gorena (Enrique), Rafael A. Martinez Jr. (Esther), Victoria Martinez (Gilbert), and Victor Rene Martinez (Claudette). He was a proud grandfather to Mark Estrada, Damon Martinez, Leann Martinez, Gilbert Martinez Jr., Victor Rene Martinez Jr., Aleena Martinez, Alonzo Martinez, and Alayna Martinez, and a great-grandfather to Emerie Martinez, Ysela Carmen Rios, Johnny Rafael Rios, Julieann Angelica Rios, and Damon Martinez Jr.
