Bangor, ME
Radhakrishna (Krishna) Jamadagni, 50, of Bangor, Maine, passed away on February 21, 2026. Known for his gregarious nature and generous spirit, Krishna had a remarkable ability to connect with others. He never met a stranger, made friends easily, and consistently went out of his way—both literally and figuratively—to stay in touch and ensure those around him felt comfortable and valued. His easy laughter, constant smile, and warm presence left a lasting impression on everyone he met.
What defined Krishna most was his deep generosity. He gave freely of his time, attention, and resources, often extending kindness to people he had only just met. Whether offering practical help, sharing a meal, or simply listening with genuine care, he made others feel seen and included. His intellectual curiosity was wide-ranging, and he remained passionately engaged with cutting-edge technology. He helped design a digital stethoscope capable of transmitting patient data directly to physicians, a project rooted in his desire to improve healthcare access in rural communities.
Krishna completed his medical education at Shri B M Patil Medical Center in Bijapur, earned a Master’s in Public Health from the University of Idaho, and a Master’s in Medical Device Innovation from the University of Minnesota. In the early years of the Maine Multicultural Center, he played a key role in welcoming individuals from diverse backgrounds and helping them build new lives far from home. Above all, he was a devoted and loving husband and father, deeply committed to his family.
He is survived by his wife, Resmi Rajan; their two sons, Ved and Tirth; his parents, Shailaja and Suresh Jamadagni; his sister, Kanchan; brother-in-law, Sanjeev; and nephews, Archit and Akshobh. Krishna’s light was taken from the world far too soon, yet the warmth, generosity, and genuine connections he shared will continue to be felt by all whose lives he touched.
