Rachelle Couvillion Harrison

Rachelle Couvillion Harrison, age 74, a resident of Banks by way of Louisiana, died at home on Friday, March 13, 2026.

Rachelle was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. An artistic woman with a special talent for needlepoint, she created pieces that left those who saw them in awe. She also loved to dance, and in her younger years spent many joyful nights on the dance floor with her husband James, the love of her life. Above all, she cherished her family and treasured every moment spent with them. She lived a beautiful, full life that touched everyone fortunate enough to know her, and she will be deeply missed by all who loved her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Harrison.

She is survived by her sons, Shawn Dean and Dwayne Dean (Amy Oyler); six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; her siblings, Vicky Kerner (Jay), Gwen Grislier (Glen), and Blake Couvillion (Cindy); along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members.
