EDCOUCH – It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Rachel Silva, who entered eternal rest on March 14, 2026, at the age of 63. Rachel was born on June 7, 1962. She will be remembered for her warm spirit and the deep love she held for her family, who were truly the center of her life.

Rachel had a special love for the outdoors, especially fishing from the pier and spending time at the beach. She found peace in the gentle rhythm of the waves, and her joyful laughter could often be heard along the shoreline. A devoted sister and loving aunt, Rachel embraced her family wholeheartedly. She treasured her nieces and nephews and cherished the special bond she shared with each of them.

Throughout her life, Rachel touched many hearts with her compassion, kindness, and generous spirit. Her caring nature extended beyond her family, as she was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Rachel’s legacy is one of love, laughter, and kindness a true reflection of the big heart she carried.

Rachel was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Raul and Rosa Maria Arce, and her nephew, David Caballero.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving siblings: Ramona Arce Cantu, Ruth Arce Caballero, Rosanna Arce Jaime, Raul Arce Jr., and Arcadio Arce. She is also survived by her cherished nieces and nephews: Amy Zamora, Arlissa Ruiz, Angie Cantu, Sammy Cantu, Steve Cantu, Alicia Cantu, Annette Cantu, Luis Arce, Stephanie Arce,Cody Arce, Saúl Caballero, Jason Caballero, Joseph Caballero, Abigail Caballero, David Jaime Jr, Cecilia Jaime, Leonardo Jaime, Andrea Rae Jaime, John Anthony Bautista and  Nicole Bautista all of whom she loved dearly.

As per Rachel’s wishes, cremation will be at a later date.

Rachel Silva will be deeply missed but will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Dr. Joseph Conde and the staff of Serenity Funeral Chapels, located at 1401 E. Santa Rosa Ave., Edcouch, Texas 78538.
