Rachel (Pertzborn) Caruso

With solemn reverence, we commemorate Rachel (Pertzborn) Caruso (Madison, Wisconsin), whose life came to an end on March 6, 2026 at the age of 98, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband John Caruso; her parents, Adolph Pertzborn and Hedwig Pertzborn (Koch); her sisters, Esther, Margaret Pertzborn, Dorothy Jafferis and Cathy Waters; her parents-in-law, Rosalia and Anthony Caruso; and her siblings-in-law, Mary, Gayle, Carmella Caruso, Sal, James Caruso, Tom Jafferis, Jim Waters, Jim Wilcox and Bill Bougher.

She is survived by: her sisters, Alice Wilcox and Barbara Bougher; her sister-in-law Doris Caruso; and her nieces, JoAnne Bradley and Mary Lou Lottes. She is also survived by many other nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 11th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Cathedral of St. Bernard Parish Center (2438 Atwood Ave, Madison, WI 53704). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, March 11th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A Mass will be held on Wednesday, March 11th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, March 11th 2026 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the Resurrection Cemetery (2705 Regent St, Madison, WI 53705).

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mary's Hospital Alumni Scholarship Fund or Cathedral of St. Bernard Parish Center.
