Preserve forever →Preston Ryan Lawrence
Brunswick, GA
Preston Ryan Lawrence, known as Bubba to his family, was a good and kind soul who passed away on March 7, 2026, in Brantley County at the age of 20. He grew up in Brunswick and cherished his mother, his brothers, and anything with greasy parts that could take him through the woods and mud. A 2024 graduate of Glynn Academy, Preston had worked at GP Cellulose since 2024. About two years ago, he rededicated his life alongside some of his closest friends, and their group, guided by their unofficial chaplain Nolan Harper, regularly gathered for Bible study.
Preston loved his grandparents deeply, sharing a particularly close bond with his Papa Rick, whose approval he sought before making any significant adult decision. His days were never complete without calling his mother to chat, share jokes, and check on his brothers. He was the apple of her eye and a steadfast helpmate to her throughout the years. Reliable, funny, and rambunctious in the best way, Preston had a smirk that could talk anyone into almost anything. A fearless outdoorsman, he found peace while hunting and pure joy tearing through the woods on his four-wheeler, often shirtless and barefoot. He was happiest when moving, building, and fixing things others might have abandoned, and he had a passion for trading tires and wheels, many of which found their way into his mother’s backyard.
Above all, Preston loved his people with unwavering loyalty. To know him was to have a protector, a prankster, and a true friend by your side. He is survived by his mother, Sube Lawrence (Chuck Moulton); his brothers, Max and Sam Lawrence; his dog, Laura Bush Lawrence; his father, Ryan Lawrence (Susan); his maternal grandmother, Annabelle Beasley; his paternal grandparents, Sheri and Rick Lawrence; his grandmother, Clarice Lawrence; his aunt, Leah Hall (Reggie) and cousins Emmett and Grace Hall; his aunt, Dawn Owens (Scott) and cousins Cameron and Brady Miller; his aunt, Wendi Williams (Noah) and cousins Mason and Alli Williams; and a large extended family, including the Perez family. He also leaves behind his loving girlfriend, Daytona Padgett Loper, and a wide circle of friends who were like brothers and sisters to him.
Preston was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Emmett Harvey Beasley, and his paternal grandparents, Ray and Billie Jones and E.L. Lawrence. His memory will live on in the woods that surrounded him, in every roaring engine, and in every burst of unexpected laughter that still feels like home. He will remain forever in the hearts of all who loved him.
