Preston Ford Ellenburg, 74, of Liberty, passed away on March 16, 2026, at his home after a long battle with lung cancer. Born in Salem he was the son of the late Hoyt Ford and Earline Bowen Ellenburg. He was the owner of Ellenburg's grading and absolutely loved his work. Even while Preston was sick his biggest wish was to go back to work.
Survivors include his son Rodney Ellenburg, two sisters; Linda Land and Ovaline Medlin, two brothers; Paul and Earl Ellenburg. Preston was predeceased by his sisters, Annie Sue Durham, Shelby Jean Duncan, and Betty Mae Burton, and two brothers: James and Bud Ellenburg.
The family would like to give thanks to all his caregivers, Gail Johnston, Kim Smith, Dawson Smith, Kevin Johnston, Darrell Smith, and the hospice nurses.
