Praskovya Kalugina

Praskovya Kalugina, 97, of Chevy Chase, Maryland, passed away on March 8, 2026. Born on November 10, 1928, in Petrovka, Dubensky District, Mordovia, Russia, she was the daughter of the late Alexei Denisov and Pelageya Denisova.

She is survived by her daughters, Tatyana Yarakhmedova and Sonya Vekstein; her son, Leonid Kalugin, and his wife, Svetlana Kalugina; her grandchildren, Alina Yarakhmedova, Julya Heywood, Anthony Vekstein, Irina Zapolsky, and Yekaterina Kalugina; and her great-grandchildren, Luka Heywood, Kyra Heywood, Colin Heywood, Sonya Zapolsky, Ivan Zapolsky, Maxim Bogolubsky, and Alina Bogolubsky.

Praskovya lived a long and full life, deeply cherished by her family across generations. Her memory will remain a source of love and connection for all who knew her.
