Pietrina A Barbarotta

Pietrina A. Barbarotta, 91, of Wayne, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on March 13, 2026. Born on June 28, 1934, in Bompietro in the Province of Palermo, Sicily, Italy, she was the beloved daughter of the late Salvatore and Giuseppa Anello. Pietrina immigrated to the United States and made her home in Wayne, where she had lived since the 1970s.

She worked for many years in housekeeping at Chilton Memorial Hospital. A devoted and hardworking woman, Pietrina took great pride in caring for her home and family. Known for her kind heart and strong spirit, she found joy in crocheting, knitting, and cooking, especially preparing meals for those she loved. She was happiest when surrounded by family and friends, always welcoming their company and sharing stories, laughter, and food. Though she could be wonderfully stubborn at times, her strength came from a deep love and devotion to her family, and her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Pietrina was the beloved wife of the late Benedetto Barbarotta. She was predeceased by her first husband, Natale Collesano, and her brother, Joseph Anello. She is survived by her loving son, Natale Collesano; her cherished daughter, Nicole Cooper and her husband Peter Cooper Jr.; her brothers Emilio Anello and Vincent Anello; her sister Mary Anello Connata; and her four adored grandchildren, Julia, Anthony, Amelia, and Ben.
