Born Phyllis Scaduto on May 26, 1926, in Trapani, Sicily, Italy. She was 10 years old when she immigrated to the U.S., residing in San Francisco. Phyllis met her future husband, Frank Torrente, in December 1946, then married on December 18, 1948. They had 53 years together and raised 6 children. They retired to Clearlake in 1981, where she resided for the remainder of her life. She was always surrounded by family, which was very important to her.She is survived by her sons and daughters: Ventura Torrente, Gale Grimm, Phyllis Ann Torrente, and Michael Torrente, all of Clearlake; daughters and sons-in-law Antonina and Rickey Falasco of San Bruno; and Frances and Greg Grigsby of Citrus Height; grandchildren: Frances and Aldo Escorcia, Tom and Buffy Wedertz, Richard and Evelyn Falasco, Jenn Brust, Robert L. Millsap (Leah), Bryan Forney, and Jessica Forney; 15 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Speranza Giacalone of Monterey; numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, and many, many friends.She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank; granddaughter Angela Grimm; son-in-law Robert A.
