Phyllis Schulz

Phyllis June Lancaster Schulz, age 96, died March 7, 2026.Phyllis was born on April 13, 1929 in Fremont Michigan to Jack and Margaret Lancaster. Fiercely independent ever since her parents died when she was 16, Phyllis maintained her wit and sense of humor until the end. Phyllis was welcoming, warm, and generous to everyone she met throughout her life.Phyllis is predeceased by Henry (Hank), her husband of 62 years, whom she married in 1954, her daughter-in-law Laurie (Ensing) Schulz, her granddaughter Kari Schulz Hessler, and her sister Marjory Brown. She is survived by her loving children Robert (Kristi Haisma) Schulz, Carol (Sandra) Schulz, Marilyn Carr, Elise (Malcolm) Hamilton, and James (Rebecca English) Schulz. Phyllis also leaves 12 devoted grandchildren - Cody, Craig, and Kelsey (Eric Swanson) Schulz; Calloway and Lillian Schulz; Elaina, Evan (Mary), and Garett Carr; Sawyer and Taine Stoll; and Emily (Robert Pall) and Tessa (Tory Johnson) Schulz, 2 precious great-grandchildren Madison and Blaire Schulz, as well as several nieces and nephews.In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place, and there will be no service. Immediate family will hold a private memorial at a later date.Phyllis's children are extremely grateful to the hospice caregivers who provided comfort to both Phyllis and her family at the end of her life.
