Washington born December 20, 1965, at Cook County Hospital in Chicago Illinois, transitioned into eternal peace on March 2, 2026, after a brief illness.Phyllis was born and raised in Chicago where she attended Bilder Elementary, Morton Middle School and John Marshall High school. She worked at Smoothers and One Eleven while living in Chicago. She later relocated to Elyria, OH in the early 1990's where she became a permanent resident.Phyllis loved to cook, clean, eat, and spend time with family. She attended many churches throughout her years.Phyllis leaves behind to cherish her memories, her siblings: Calvin, Erodney, Tyrone, Brenda, and Sylvester, her children: Cornella, Carl, James, Mariah, Tennyson, and Imani, grandchildren: Darrell III, Davontae, Damarion, Daiquan, S'Nya, Nala, Camaron, Cameron, Trevell and Kashmere, and one great grandchild Kai'Lani.She is preceded in death by both parents Ola B. Washington, and James B. Washington.A visitation will be held on Friday March 20, 2026, at 10am with a Celebration of Life to begin at 11am located at Carter Funeral Home 127 W. Bridge St. Elyria, OHBurial will be at Brookdale Cemetery 41600 Oberlin Elyria Rd in Elyria, OH.The Colors are Black and Gold.
