Phyllis Eleanor Kuehn, age 83, passed away on March 11, 2026. She was born on June 4, 1942 in Mount Clemens, Michigan, to the late Edgar and Hilda (Gastmeier) Weber.
She was the beloved wife of the late Phillip H. Kuehn for over 58 years, having married on July 20, 1963. Phyllis worked for many years in the insurance field and was a lifelong Lutheran who grew up at Trinity Church in Mount Clemens, later attended Immanuel in Waldenberg, and spent the second half of her life at St. Peter in Fair Haven. A devoted homemaker, she found joy in cooking, baking, gardening, and arts and crafts. She will be remembered for her distinctive sense of humor and her deep passion for birdwatching, especially caring for the many hummingbirds that visited her.
Phyllis is survived by her children Gail (Paul) Liebgott, Gordon (Cheryl) Kuehn, Matthew Kuehn, and Lorri Manzella, three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, her sister-in-law Linda Weber, and many loving extended family members and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother James Weber.
