Phyllis Dees

Phyllis Dees of Thomasville, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2026, at her residence. She was born on February 28, 1935, in Vermillion, South Dakota, to the late Orville Edward Ferry and Evelyn Gilbaugh Sorensen.

Phyllis shared 62 years of marriage with her husband, Billy Lee Dees, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded by her son, Mark Lloyd. She is survived by her sons, Joe Dees and his wife Michelle, and David Lloyd and his wife Kannika. She leaves behind her grandchildren, Sarah Lloyd, Brian Lloyd, Danielle Dees, Lindsey Dees, Costin Lloyd, Connor Lloyd, Andrew Lloyd, and Aerial Connell, as well as her great-grandchildren, Makenzie Taylor, Hadley Wilson, and Grayson Santiago.

She will be remembered for the love she held for her family and the life she built across the years.
