Philip Leonard Crimboli, 94, of Greensburg, passed away on Friday, March 13, 2026, at St. Anne’s Nursing Home. Born on October 25, 1931, at home in South Greensburg, he was the first child of the late Eugenio and Paolina (Pistolesi) Ciarimboli. Phil spent his working life as a skilled mechanic and small business owner. He served as service manager at the local Buick dealership for many years before owning and operating the Pennzoil service station in Greensburg from 1976 until 2001. Earlier, he had worked at the area’s Mercury and Studebaker dealerships. A lifelong Buick enthusiast, he took great pride in the many Buicks he owned throughout his life.
Phil served in the United States Army from 1953 to 1955, stationed at various locations in Europe. He was honorably discharged with the rank of corporal. While stationed near Trieste, Italy, he met Denise Lebeault of Longueuil, near Montreal, Quebec. The couple married in Longueuil in December 1956 and returned to make their home in the house on Poplar Street in South Greensburg where Phil had been born. A longtime member of St. Bruno’s Roman Catholic Church, he remained deeply connected to the community of his youth.
In addition to his parents, Phil was preceded in death by his older half-brother, Benny Crimbly; sister-in-law, Mary Crimbly; his middle brother, Alfred Crimboli; and his youngest brother, Eugene Crimboli. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Denise (Lebeault) Crimboli; their two sons, Marc Crimboli (Candace) and Nicolas Crimboli; grandson Adam Crimboli; granddaughter Casey Crimboli; sister-in-law Teresa Crimboli; brother-in-law Pierre Lebeault (Jocelyne); sister-in-law Gisele Schrogl; and many nieces and nephews who will remember him with affection.
