Peter Paul Sagan

June 12, 1955 March 9, 2026

Hawthorne, NY

Peter Paul Sagan, a cherished brother, passed away peacefully on March 9, 2026, in Hawthorne, New York. Born on June 12, 1955, in Paterson, New Jersey, Peter lived a life marked by kindness and a gentle spirit that touched everyone who knew him over his seventy years.

Raised in Clifton, he attended St. Michael’s Grammar School in Passaic and graduated from Clifton High School. He carried the values of dedication and hard work into his career, serving for seventeen years at the Upper Montclair Country Club before retiring. Deeply rooted in family, Peter was predeceased by his parents, Loretta Sagan and Peter J. Sagan. He is survived by his devoted brother, Michael Sagan, with whom he shared a lifetime of memories and an unbreakable bond.

Peter’s passions brought warmth to those around him. He had a great love for 1970s rock and roll, often sharing his favorite music with family and friends. A self-described foodie, he delighted in exploring different cuisines and connecting with others through good food. A lifelong parishioner of St. Michael Cathedral in Passaic, his faith remained a steady cornerstone of his life and brought him comfort within his church community.

Peter will be remembered for his warm smile, his quiet strength, and the gentle way he made the world brighter simply by being part of it. His absence will be deeply felt by all who knew him, yet the memory of his kindness and gentle spirit will continue to live on in those he loved.
